Italy stretched and yawned, carrying a basket full of pasta and small sandwiches. Lorenzo was walking in front of him, proudly and not as if he were much smaller than any of the other pokemon. Lorenzo refused to let Italy hold him, and Italy didn't like to keep the poor thing cooped up inside a pokeball.
They had just come back from walking along Route 4. The tiny blue chick refused to let Italy fret over him.
"Lorenzo, Lorenzo~" He dived and scooped the piplup up. "Let's stop to eat, yes? I'm getting hungry and it's close to siesta-time, ve~"
The chick struggled to get free of Italy's grasp. He cheeped angrily, but Italy just ignored him and set out a blanket to sit on. "I have pasta, ve, and sandwiches, and some pokemon food for you, too, Lorenzo!"
He pulled the food out of the basket and set it all neatly on the blanket.

Hong Kong wandered around down the road, with Flameo walking next to him, happily chirping a tune. It was a pretty nice day, with fair weather. The birds (Starly, Pidgey, whatever bird Pokemon that was there now, he couldn't possibly tell them apart from just their songs) were singing in the trees and he was finally reaching the town. It was a great day for anything, he mused, although he had not planned anything to do. Probably not training though; they had sufficient training along the way. His Torchic was pretty strong now, he could defeat most Pokemon he encountered along the way without much problem now.
Suddenly he spotted a rather familiar face and headed towards that direction. He knew he hadn't met him after what had happened, but after all, he had nothing else better to do anyway.
"Italy?" The Asian walked over to the Italian sitting on the blanket, and tilted his head in curiousity as to what he was doing, having a picnic there with a Piplup.

"Ve?" Italy stared at the newcomer, not recognizing him at first. He smiled and waved him over. "Hong Kong! Ciao~"
Italy stood up on the blanket and pointed excitedly at the food there, dropping Lorenzo in the process. "Come join us for lunch, si?" He quickly scooped up the angrily chirping chick. "It'll be fun! I have pasta and some sandwiches and some fruit and wine, and pasta!"

"Ah," Hong Kong was surprised the other had recognised him, thinking that since he was a part of China now, he might not really get noticed. Anyway, he thought about the Italian's offer, and finally came to the conclusion that since he really had nothing else better to do, he should just join the other. After all, he knew Italy's cooking wasn't as bad as England's, whose cooking and food he had to endure for quite a long long time before going back to China.
"Okay, I'll join you for lunch then," He smiled and nodded. Flameo was just busy staring at the other Piplup, slightly apprehensive. But it was quite normal for a fire type Pokemon to fear a water type, wasn't it? Hong Kong merely scooped up his Torchic and patted it, and Flameo started chirping again.
"Where shall I sit?" He gestured toward the blanket.

"Yay! Ve..." Italy frowned at the food covering the blanket. He quickly made room near himself for Hong Kong to sit. "Here! Would you like some pasta?"
"This is a Torchic, si? It's so cute~" Lorenzo chirped angrily, affronted by the fact that Italy dared speak to a pokemon besides himself. Italy didn't notice, and reached out to pet the orange chick. "Can I touch it? What's his name?"

Hong Kong seated himself next to the Italian with a nod. He was still slightly unused to the other's enthusiasm, but he would get used to it eventually. It was part of life to adapt anyway. He nodded again when he was offered pasta. It would be nice to have a little home cooked food for once, he himself did not have the resources to cook. Although he did miss Chinese food, since he didn't have it since the meteor crashed and everything happened.
"Yes please," He said, smiling a little. "And yes, that's a Torchic." Flameo cuddled towards him as he said so, chirping softly. Those black eyes noticed the Italian's hand reaching out towards him and he chirped, looking at Hong Kong. Hong Kong nodded and let the Torchic go, and watched it move towards the hand that wanted to pet him.
"His name's Flameo," He continued, watching the Torchic.
