"Thank you, we hope to see you again," The Asian smiled a little as he watched a large, muscular biker go off, slightly amused by the little Parachisu which followed behind the other man. Who knew such huge people liked little cute creatures like that blue and white squirrel. Hong Kong then turned to look at the Torchic sleeping at his feet behind the counter. He carefully moved away from the counter, not wanting to disturb his Pokemon.
A slight case of OCD had made him arrange the things in the PokeMart neatly. He went around again and placed the drinks neatly. Not like there wasn't any customers around to mess it up, it was getting close to one in the morning. It was highly unlikely more people would come in to buy anything. Hong Kong stretched and yawned. He was pretty tired, unused to working the nightshift, but it was the only shift available for him.
It was not that he couldn't find other ways to earn money, it was just that he still felt kind of odd earning money by battling people and taking their money. It seemed like a strange custom to him, and he sometimes felt bad for taking money from trainers who were younger than him. But considering that he was a nation, almost everyone here was probably younger than him. Still, taking money from little boys and girls who had challenged him to a battle and lost irked him quite a lot. It seemed as if they were wasting their money by giving it to him and he was spending them on various things like food and lodging and whatever.
And so, this was why he had taken up the job at the PokeMart. To earn himself some money and not completely rely on money given to him by other trainers. Surely they too had to earn some money to give to him right? Or at least, have someone working to provide them their allowance or whatever.
Unfortunately, working the nightshift was rather boring. Nobody was around, and it was really very slow. But he had all the way until seven in the morning. That left him with six hours with nothing much to do. With a sigh, he walked back to the counter and sat down on the stool there. Time did go by when one had nothing to do, he twirled a pen while sitting on the stool. It was pretty quiet outside too, he couldn't see much lights on through the glass doors of the store.
Maybe someone would come in soon to buy something, he hoped. Even though it was a really odd time to come in.
