((OOC: Rom confirmed how this event works, so here goes! Any speech written "(like this)" is in Pokemon language.))
New Zealand woke up, and crawled out of his sleeping bag. He and Bugger were travelling towards Beaver City, and they hoped to reach there today. For some reason he still felt tired in spite of getting a lot of sleep the night before. The tent and his backpack also looked bigger than usual, and as he went to get a change of clothes he caught a glimpse of his arm and hand... or was it? His arm wasn't normally covered in fur, and his hand had fingers, not claws! And aren't there supposed to be five of them, not two?!
"Slakoth?! (What the Hell?!)" New Zealand said. What just came out of his mouth definitely didn't sound like English... "Slakoth slakoth. (Kia ora.)" No, the language wasn't Maori either. What on Earth was going on?
"To... totodile... (Go... sleep...)" He heard Bugger say and he understood him perfectly. Normally all Bugger did was repeat his name or parts of his name over and over, and New Zealand had no idea what his Pokemon was saying. New Zealand walked over to where Bugger was lying, and felt like he was moving in slow motion. Again, what the hell was going on?
"(What did you just say?)" New Zealand said, and tapped Bugger on the shoulder. The Totodile opened his eyes again. He took one look at New Zealand, and jumped to his feet. He tentatively reached out to touch New Zealand's face, and drew his paw back again as soon as he made contact with New Zealand's cheek.
"(Y-you're like me! You're not a Totodile, but...)"
"(W-what do you mean I'm like you?)" New Zealand sat down and watched Bugger run over to where the backpack was. Bugger grabbed the backpack, and started pulling everything out of it until he found a small red object that looked like a cellphone. He used a claw to open it, and was met with a screen and a touchpad that looked like a Pokeball. He touched the blue button in the middle of the touchpad, and the screen switched on. A trainer ID appeared on the screen with New Zealand's human name and picture.
"This Pokedex belongs to William Green." Bugger held up the Pokedex in front of New Zealand so the camera inside could scan him. "Slakoth, the Slacker Pokémon. Slakoth is generally found sleeping and very few ever witness it in motion."
"(I'm a Pokemon now?!)" New Zealand said, and tried not to yawn. Maybe this explained the sleepiness and slow movements. What was a Slakoth supposed to do, anyway? He got up and walked over to Bugger and the backpack, and started to help him put the items back in. How was it that Bugger was so much faster at all of this than he was? The Totodile's paws were lightning-fast compared to his own slow ones.
"(I'll pack up the other stuff.)" Bugger said, and looked at the sleeping bags. "(Rolling up the sleeping bags might be easier for you.)"
"(All right, and thanks for helping.)" New Zealand looked at the stuff in the tent, and then at the sleeping bags. He rolled up the sleeping bags as Bugger cleaned up everything else in the tent. The two Pokemon exited the tent and started to take it down. Soon the tent was all packed up, and tied securely to the backpack.
New Zealand pulled some Pokemon food out of the backpack for himself and Bugger, and checked that they hadn't left anything behind. This may be a camp site, but it was up to the people staying there to keep it tidy. New Zealand put on the backpack, and he and Bugger stopped off at the office before leaving the campgrounds. Fortunately the staff weren't up yet, and they had a drop box for after-hours payment. New Zealand wrote their site number on an envelope, put the right amount of money in it, and put it in the drop box.
"(Let's go, Bugger!)" New Zealand said as they left the campgrounds. He really wanted to take a nap before they went anywhere, but that would have to wait until they got to Beaver City's Pokemon centre. He may be a Pokemon now, but he still has to care for his own Pokemon and that includes getting them to the nearest Pokemon Centre for a check up. "(We'll get to Beaver City today for sure!)"

((OOC: I'll hop in here, if you don't mind! >w<))
Alfred felt stiff. He had never felt so stiff in his entire life. He must have slept on his back wrong again. The only problem was, it didn't seem like his body wanted to stretch in the slightest. He couldn't move his arms or legs at all, no matter how much he tried. His circulation must have been bad, because he couldn't even feel his longer appendages. He heaved, trying to sit up straight, but despite his best efforts he could not. And to top it all off, he was freezing cold.
"Gla..Glalie.. (Ugh..This sucks..)" he mumbled, yawning loudly. He paused. Something didn't sound quite right. Maybe he was getting sick? His voice sounded a bit deeper then usual. "Glalie Glalie..! (This is just great..!)" he sighed, yawning again. Something seemed wrong still, but not in a sickly sort of way. Had he just said..Glalie? He froze.
Was the reason he couldn't move all that well..was it because his limbs were completely gone? He finally managed to heave himself up, knocking against the tree that he and Brooklyn had been sleeping under. He must have hit it harder then he thought, because part of the trunk had shattered with a loud crack. The loud sound woke Brooklyn with a start. His red eyes flickered open in alarm, and he lept to his feet quickly.
"Bulbasaur! B-Bulba Bulba! (Oh my god! T-There's a huge Glalie here!)" he cried, backing up as he looked up at Alfred, "Bulba..Bulbasaur! (Please..Don't eat me!)" He scrunched his eyes shut, expecting the worst.
"Glalie..Glalie Gla! (Brooklyn..I won't hurt you!)" he assured. He tried to smile, but groaned with frustration as he realized his mouth was stuck in a permanent frown. He certainly hoped that this transformation wasn't permanent. The little dinosaur opened his eyes, looking back up at Alfred. He took a small step closer.
"Bulba..? Bulbasaur Bulba? (Huh..? How do you know my name?)" he asked, his small voice still quivering with a note of fear. Somehow, actually being able to understand him made Brooklyn somewhat cuter.
"(I know it's hard to believe, but it's me, Alfred! Your trainer! Somehow I ended up as a Glalie..)" he replied, still trying to assure the much smaller grass Pokemon. Brooklyn's eyes widened as he got a better look at him. After a few moments, he smiled.
"(So it really is you! You looked so scary I almost fainted!)" he laughed, running up to cuddle against him. That didn't last long, however, as he quickly jumped back. "(A-Ah! You're s-s-so much c-c-colder then usual!)" he shivered, his teeth chattering lightly. Alfred felt bad.
"(Hey, don't worry about it little buddy! I'm sure I'll be back to normal soon!)" he replied. At least, he hoped he would be. It was difficult to figure out how to move in his new body. He knew that normally, Glalie were Pokemon that floated around. Of course, he had no idea how to get his body floating in the air. He just knew he missed having arms. And legs. And being able to smile.
He stretched towards his backpack, but to no avail. He tipped over, and wound up with his face down in the dirt. "(Ugh..This really sucks!)" he grumbled, trying to roll back into an upright position. Brooklyn frowned for a moment. He didn't like seeing his trainer looking so unhappy. He whipped his vines out from his bulb, snatching up Alfred's backpack. He tied it securely to his back as he tried to help him flip back over. With their combined efforts, they managed to at least get him into an upright position.
"(Look! I've got your backpack all settled! I can carry it for you!)" Brooklyn called, motioning to the bag which was securely attached to his bulb. Alfred was touched. Brooklyn was trying his best to make things easier for him in his new form, and it really meant a lot. He could at least understand his friend now. Maybe his situation wasn't quite as bad as he had previously thought. He just wished he could at least smile to show how happy he was.
"(Thanks a lot, Brooklyn! You're the greatest!)" he replied, causing Brooklyn to smile sheepishly. "(I-It was nothing, really!)" he murmured, shuffling his feet awkwardly. Alfred had almost forgotten how bashful Brooklyn got when he was praised.
"(Well, let's set out. Maybe we can find someone who knows how this happened!)" Alfred noted, and Brooklyn nodded in agreement. He started to trot ahead, and Alfred hopped. He would hopefully figure out how to move without making a trail of small potholes behind him. He wondered if this had happened to anybody else.
The closest city had been Beaver City, hadn't it? Brooklyn reached into the backpack and pulled out the map, holding it at an angle they would both be able to see it. Alfred saw where they had decided to stop for the night. It had been just outside the campgrounds. They figured out which direction they wanted to head in, and took off that way. Alfred just wished that the ground didn't shake every time he hopped forward.

((OOC: Jumping in like that is all good! I'm going to lose the dialogue brackets until we get to Beaver City and find some humans. ^^ Oh, and America! Saw this while browsing through Bulbapedia. Ash's Glalie is played by Hetalia's America in Japan! Coincidence? I think so!))
"William? Are you sure you're feeling strong enough to keep travelling?" Bugger said, and New Zealand stared at him. It was the first time he had heard Bugger use his human name even though he'd told him what it was the day he became New Zealand's pokemon. Maybe him becoming a Pokemon had changed the way Bugger felt about him, and now he felt more comfortable using his human name. Or maybe it was just because the language barrier was gone. Either way, it felt good to be called by his human name again. "Yes, I'm fine. Do you want to take a break?" New Zealand said, and Bugger nodded his head. They spotted an empty bench on the side of the road, and the two of them sat down. "And please call me Will! I only get called William either by new people or if I'm in trouble with someone." New Zealand leaned back into the bench. He was starting to feel quite comfortable, and he had to admit that taking a break was a good idea. He was sure Bugger had agreed for his benefit and not his own because he knew that New Zealand wouldn't dream of admitting he needed a rest, and New Zealand appreciated that greatly. He wasn't happy with the fact that he seemed to be losing energy at a great rate of knots, but he knew that they'd never get anywhere if he gave in to his body's constant urging to climb the nearest tree and hibernate for the rest of his days. That urge, however, was getting stronger and stronger with every step and he wasn't entirely sure that he could hold out until he got changed back. Surely this transformation wasn't permanent, right? "Bugger, thanks for agreeing to take a break." New Zealand said. "I'm not handling this change well, and I'm glad you're being patient with me. All my body wants to do is climb the nearest tree and sleep forever, but I'm not going to do it. That wouldn't be fair to you." What New Zealand had just said wasn't all news to Bugger as he had already known that he wasn't coping well with being a Slakoth, but Bugger was deeply shocked at the thought of him climbing a tree and sleeping forever. He looked over at New Zealand, and saw that his eyes were closed. Bugger couldn't decide what to say or do. Should he let him sleep for a bit, or try to wake him up? What if he couldn't get him to wake up at all? Suddenly the ground shook for an instant, and the bench shook too. New Zealand's eyes fluttered open again, and he and Bugger looked around for the source of the mini-earthquake. They got up off the bench and looked both ways down the road. The ground shook again, and it seemed to be shaking in some sort of pattern with a bit of time between tremors. Eventually two figures came into view, one looking like a ball and the other looked like a dinosaur. The ball was the one causing all the shaking, and New Zealand noticed the dinosaur was carrying a backpack. "Hey! Is one of you a Pokemon trainer too?" New Zealand said. He smiled as he realised that he might not be the only one in this particular predicament after all.

((Oh, hey, that's right! I had almost forgotten that he did both of their voices! That is the most awesome coincidence ever! Wow, this is..much shorter then my last post ;w;))
Alfred paused, looking over at the two new arrivals. One was a Slakoth, and the other appeared to be a Totodile. What was it the Slakoth had said? A trainer too? Did that mean..that this Slakoth had also been transformed too?! He did a little hop of joy, but regretted it a moment later when he came crashing down. Brooklyn made a little squeak as he was swept off his feet. "(Oh, thank goodness! I thought I was the only one! Are you a trainer too then?)" Alfred asked, still frustrated with his new inability to smile. He was hoping that he didn't look too intimidating to the two smaller Pokemon he was talking to. Scratch that, the smaller Pokemon and Trainer. But now, the real question was, who was this other trainer? Could it possibly be someone he knew? Maybe it could be another country? "(Oh, I totally forgot to introduce myself! My name's Alfred, what's yours?)" he quickly threw in. He would normally add a hearty handshake when meeting someone new, but in his current state that was an impossibility. He groaned inwardly to himself. Brooklyn, once he decided that Alfred wasn't going to bounce again, finally righted himself, and lightly brushed a small layer of dirt off with his free vine. He smiled over at the other two. "(It's nice to meet you! I'm Brooklyn!)" he chirped, blinking his big red eyes in greeting. Alfred was glad to see that Brooklyn was containing his greet-and-tackle urges, at least, for now anyways. He glanced down at the little dinosaur, and noticed his legs twitch slightly. Whether that was from self restraint or from the back pack. He hoped it was merely the latter of the two.

((OOC: No worries about length as long as it has substance. Change of name in narration go! Now that his Pokemon calls him by name instead of nation name, I may as well use it. XD))
The ball pokemon seemed happy that he had mentioned the word trainer, and bounced in place. The resulting impact knocked his Bulbasaur off its feet as well. Will stared at the ball-shaped Pokemon, and wondered what kind of Pokemon it was. Bugger pulled out Will's pokedex (where on Earth was he keeping the thing?! It's not like he has pockets, after all), and aimed it at the ball pokemon.
"Glalie, the Face Pokémon. Glalie has a tempered ice body that doesn't melt even under a direct flame. It can freeze vapors in the air instantly." the Pokedex said.
Will listened to the Glalie and nodded his head. "Yes, I'm a trainer too, and I woke up this morning looking like this." Will said, and listened to Alfred introduce himself.
"Alfred? That name sounds familiar... omaigawd." Will thought, and the realisation hit him all at once. "This Glalie is America?!"
"Will?" Bugger grabbed his arm. "Do you know him?"
"I do." Will smiled. "We're family. He's America, and I'm New Zealand. Alfred, just call me Will. It's shorter than William."
"And I'm Bugger!" Bugger said, and noticed that the Bulbasaur had gotten up again. "Pleased to meet you!"
Will heard the Bulbasaur introduce himself, and smiled again. "Nice to meet you, Brooklyn!" Will said.
Will walked over to Alfred, and give him a quick hug. Alfred was cold to the touch, but that was to be expected since he was covered in ice. He knew that Alfred was normally a touchy-feely kind of person, so not being able to touch people must be more than a little frustrating for him.
"Where are you two headed?" Will said. "We're on our way to Beaver City. I wanted to take Bugger to the Pokemon Centre, but if I'm still like this when we get there I may as well get checked over as well."
Will waited patiently for an answer from the two of them, and felt happy that he wasn't the only one who'd become a Pokemon. The happiness from meeting up with Alfred had even banished the exhaustion he'd been feeling up until now, and he hoped that it would stay gone.
