'...Damn.' 'Chi?' 'I think we took a wrong turn. Can you see the Pokemon Centre anywhere on here?' Roderich narrowed his eyes at the map, removing his glasses; contrary to expectations, they were clear lenses, and served no purpose other than making him look intelligent. Brynhilde rolled her eyes, still perched on his shoulder. 'Chika. Chi, chika...' '...I'll choose to ignore that,' Roderich replied; he was quite capable of understanding her- 'Idiot. Well, if you won't ask someone...' was the gist of it- and had been since he'd been given her, by that raving Professor What's-his-name. At first he's been suspicious, but now he simply let it go. After all, the creature was friendly enough and perfectly tame, if on the sarcastic side. 'Maybe I'm holding it upside-down...oh, it's no good, I've never been much of a navigator.' He turned, gazing around the empty street and polishing his glasses with his cravat. It was shady and pleasant, but strangely quiet; Roderich assumed there was some siesta policy or something. Espying a bench on the opposite side of the road, he walked briskly over to it and sat down, tucking his map into the depths of his dark blue coat. Brynhilde immediately leapt into his lap, falling asleep almost instantly. 'Hmph. Are you narcoleptic, or something?' Roderich sighed, leaning back and giving his Chikorita an absent-minded pat on the head. 'Very well, I suppose it's all right. We'll just stay here until someone comes by...and then I'll have to ask directions. You'd think, wouldn't you, that if they can invent capsules to store living creatures in, they could equip trainers with some sort of satellite navigation system?'

(since no one else seems to be responding...)
Hong Kong wandered down the street, looking at various stalls by either side of the road. He wasn't very interested in them though; they were just random Bidoof and Bibarel themed objects meant for tourists. Flameo chirped and followed after him, taking quick steps to catch up with his long strides.
He paused as he saw a familiar face in the street. Ah, it was one of the Europeans... Austria, he remembered. And like the other nations he had met here, he had a Pokemon as well. He scooped up his Torchic in his arms, who seemed to want his attention and wondered if he should greet the other. Flameo seemed rather interested in the Pokemon curled up on the man's lap.
"Ah..." He said, walking toward the other, and suddenly finding himself at a loss of words. "What brings you here?"
Well, it was a start.

'Oh! Good afternoon. Hong Kong, wasn't it?' Austria stood automatically, offering the Asian nation his hand and tipping Brynhilde off his lap in the process. She yelped as she hit the ground, rolling to one side and scowling up at her trainer; he was all manners, except when it came to her naps. 'I was given this-' he nodded towards his Chikorita, who made a face at him- 'by a rather...enthusiastic scientist, and I thought I'd better find someone else and figure out what on Earth is going on around here. I was hoping to find Germany or Hungary, but, well...' He looked rather sheepish. 'I'm a bit lost.'
Ah, thanks for replying! I didn't want to randomly jump in to a thread that had already been started...^^

Hong Kong took the Austrian's hand and shook it firmly. He was aware of these other traditions, having stayed in England's house before. He let Flameo down to look at the Chikorita, and watched him look curiously at the other before looking back up at the Austrian.
"Ah, you're lost?" Hong Kong raised an eyebrow. "Well I could probably show you around, since I have nothing else to do at the moment... Where are you headed towards anyway?"
He then absentmindedly bent down and patted his Torchic, who chirped a little but was still continuing to stare at the Chikorita.

Austria spared a glance at the other nation's Pokemon- he didn't know the name, but he could guess the type just from looking. He vaguely recalled something about type advantage and disadvantage...not that he'd had to worry about that so far. He hadn't battled another trainer yet, and he didn't wish to start now. Instead, he inclined his head in thanks to Hong Kong. 'Thank you, I appreciate it. I was hoping to find the Pokemon Centre, and with it, some information...'

Hong Kong nodded, and picked up his Torchic. He had just come from the Pokemon Center anyway, it wouldn't be any trouble finding his way back.
"Follow me, I'll bring you there..." He looked at the Austrian and moved on, slowly so that the Austrian could catch up easily. Flameo chirped as he continued to look at the Chikorita. The Asian also suddenly remembered about the Austrian looking for some information and curiousity made him ask, "So... what information are you looking for?"

Austria picked up his Pokemon, setting her on his shoulder as always; there was the option of a...what had the man called them...a Pokeball, but he didn't think it was good for her. Besides, she'd probably object. He started after Hong Kong, grateful to have found a fellow nation at last. 'Well...as I'm sure you've realised, the world is in quite a state. It seems to have changed- obviously there are these creatures, these Pokemon, all over the place now, but more than that...who on Earth are these people who seem to know so much about them? Where did all theses new places come from? And more importantly, how did a meteor, of all things, cause it?' Austria sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose. This was all starting to give him a headache. 'In any case, some of these Pokemon sound dangerous. I want to be as ready as possible for anything that comes my way, and the best place to start seems to be this Pokemon Centre.'

Hong Kong looked at the Austrian as he listened to him go on. Well those were the exact same things he wanted to know, although he wasn't too sure if the Pokemon Center would have the answers. At least, he'd never asked anyone there about it.
"I see," was his only reply, as he continued to walk back. The city was pretty crowded now for some reason or another, and it somehow reminded him of the streets he used to walk around, in the place used to be called Hong Kong. Flameo was enjoying the scenery, although he didn't seem to understand why they were going back to the Pokemon Center, considering they both had left it some while ago. He was chirping and looking at Hong Kong in confusion, but Hong Kong just patted him and continued leading the way.
After a few turns here and there, they arrived at the automatic doors of the Pokemon Center. Not many trainers were there at the moment, considering this was the only one in the city.
"Maybe I'll follow you inside," He said. "Some of those questions you wanted to ask... I have been wondering about the same things myself."

'Well, I'm not surprised. I am surprised that no one's done anything about this sooner, though,' Austria replied, now getting into his element- complaining. He marched into the Pokemon Centre, standing in the middle of the room with his hands on his hips. He glanced around; hardly anyone, just a few random young trainers and the nurse on duty. She looked up from the counter, and smiled. 'Good day! How can I help?' Austria stepped over to the counter, inclining his head politely. 'I'm sorry, miss, but have you seen a tall, muscular blond man who acts like a military officer? Or a brunette with a frying pan and a violent streak?' The nurse looked alarmed. 'I'm afraid not, sir. Would you like to rest your Pokemon? It seems tired.' She nodded towards Brynhilde. 'Oh, she's always tired,' Austria said irritably, but he set her down on the counter anyway. Turning to Hong Kong, he sighed and shook his head. 'Well, they haven't been here. And it doesn't look like anyone here would know anything, does it? Honestly, as soon as you need Ludwig, he's nowhere to be found...'

Hong Kong slowly followed after the Austrian, letting the cool air of the air conditioner blow against his skin. He was rather grateful for this; the outside was rather warm now, with the afternoon sun way up in the sky. He was still carrying Flameo though, which was probably one of the other reasons that he felt warm as well.
Flameo was still confused though, wondering why they were back in the Pokemon Center, and pecked him gently on the arm. Hong Kong frowned down at the creature. Although it was gentle, the beak of the little orange bird was still sharp enough to cause a little rip in his sleeve, which annoyed him slightly because he had to repair it. He did want to look presentable most of the time.
"Well, he wants to ask people questions and he was lost. And I know him so I led him here, does that make you happy?" He muttered to the Torchic, who merely blinked and looked at the Austrian and his little green Pokemon. A few trainers stared at him as they walked by, probably wondering why he was carrying a Torchic instead of putting him into a Pokeball. He ignored them and walked up to the Austrian, wondering what his conversation was about.
He heard their little conversation, and saw the nurse take the little Pokemon to be healed. Flameo chirped and looked at him again, and he sighed and told him that no, he wasn't going to get healed again and looked at Austria.
"I'm not really sure myself, about what happened and things... but I kind of know these creatures already..." He stroked the soft, warm feathers of his Torchic. "Thanks to Japan's popular video game... And why are you looking for Ludwig? Does he know what's going on?"
He asked. If a nation knew the answers, it would be rather convenient for him, instead of travelling around searching for the answers.

'I doubt it, but I'd feel better if he was around.' Austria rolled his eyes at his own admission, but it was true; Germany was much more capable than himself at taking charge of a situation. 'And of course, I want to find Elizaveta...although saying that, I'm sure she's taken to this battling business like a duck- or Totodile, as the case may be- to water.' It took him a minute to realise what Hong Kong had said. 'I'm sorry, video game? You're not telling me this all has something to do with a video game.' The idea was ludicrous, but if it was true, then it would be Japan getting a piece of his mind next.

Hong Kong listened to the Austrian talk and nodded his head. Indeed, it was rather strange and ridiculous to say that Japan's video game had indeed come alive but it was slightly true.
"Well..." He said, "It is pretty strange when you think about it... but these creatures did come from a video game..."
He gestured at their Pokemon as he said so. Flameo chirped and looked at Hong Kong, wondering why he was being pointed at. He was about to peck him again when the Asian shook his head and he stopped in the middle of his peck and looked at the Austrian.
"I just think that this is a pure coincidence that the meteor which hit the earth brought these creatures with it, and these just so happen to look like the ones my brother created..."
Although, he was slightly confused as to why the Austrian had never heard or seen any of these creatures. Thinking about it he then concluded with the safest explaination that he was a younger nation, and was also Asian and therefore knew to some extent about these creatures.

'Well...' Austria spluttered, disbelieving. 'I...don't see how it could be anything other than a coincidence, but...' He shook his head, rallying himself. 'I'll still be having words with Kiku, this all makes me very suspicious.' Now that he thought about it, he did vaguely remember a craze coming from Japan sometime in the Nineties...didn't it cause an outbreak of epilepsy, or something...? He dismissed the idea. Whatever it was, he wanted nothing to do with it. Although...he looked at Brynhilde as the nurse handed her back to him. He did quite like this one, after all. 'Where are you heading next, Hong Kong? Do you have any idea where Japan is?' Austria was at a loss for where to look next, and would take all the help he could get.

Hong Kong thought for a moment, wondering if he had met his brother somewhere in this new world. He didn't recall though, and shook his head.
"I'm sorry, I haven't seen my brother," He said. He thought about the other question. He had no idea where he had wanted to go, and was just following the Austrian around town at the moment. He could go train his Torchic a little more, since the little chick in his arms seemed to be slightly hyper at the moment, pecking and chirping away. Some exercise would do him good.
"As for the direction I'm headed for, I might go and train with Flameo," He looked at his Torchic as he spoke. "He's been getting a little hyper lately... and restless. Would you care to join us?"
